Driveways and sidewalks are expensive to replace. Caulking and concrete-sealing* could prevent deterioration and exposure to salt erosion, so it just makes sense to have those areas caulked and concrete-sealed properly. (*Acrylic sealers with ‘Gator Grip’ for those elevated concrete decks that need special attention for slip-resistance). Look at your driveway or sidewalk to see if you need our services; do you see any open joints or cracks between the slabs? Preventing all the water that comes down throughout the year from running into these cracks and crevices will maintain soil integrity. Wet or eroded ground can cause settlement beneath the slabs and, over time, the driveway can heave and sink.
Protection against stains is another benefit of sealing stamped concrete. Your stamped walkway or driveway will be subjected to many things that can leave stains on the surface; salt, motor oil, gasoline, leaves, dirt, fertilizer, pet urine, and more. The right sealer will keep all of these from penetrating the surface of the concrete and leaving an unsightly stain.
If you live in a cold climate, a third reason for sealing your stamped concrete is that it will reduce the chance of freeze/thaw damage, such as cracking and surface-flaking. This can
